The forerunner of Yunnan Textile Group is Yunnan Textile Mill built in 1937. In 1996, it changed its structure and became to be Yunnan Honghua Industrial (group) Co., Ltd. In order to protest the brand Yunfang, it was renamed to be Yunnan Textile Group Co., Ltd.
 
    The headquarters of group and Yunfang Commercial center are located in the most developed area commercial trade area of Kunming―Luosiwan. It lies in a golden area, with Kunming railway station in the east, Yunnan Ethnic Villages in the west, transient trunk roads in the south and Golden horse & Jade Peacock Plaza in the north. There are fourteen bus lines getting together here. It has convenient traffic.

    Through hard working of several generations, the corporation has multi-industries development and participate in marketing competition actively. It has become a multi-industries and multi-districts group company, whose major business is textile. And it also manages in fields of storage battery production, commercial trade, tertiary industry and so on. Nowadays, Yunnan Textile Group holds seven independent companies and subsidiary companies whose stocks are controlled by parent company. Independent companies are respectively four branch factories of textile mill, Kunming Storage Battery Factory, Songming Textile Limited Company, Yunfang Commercial center, Kunming Honghua Industrial and Trade Company, Yunnan Huacheng Hotel and Industrial and Trade Company of Yunnan Textile Mill. It possesses an asset of 1,070,000,000 yuan, and the total number of its employees is more than 5,000. In 2005, the sales volume was up to 370,000,000,000 yuan.
 
    Yunnan Textile Group is the largest cotton textile enterprise with a history of about 70 years. It has perfect ability of scientific research, development, design, quality inspection and monitor of textiles. It holds 120,000 spindles and over 800 sets of looms. The annual production of cotton yarn, blended yarn and chemical fabric yarn is more than 12,000 tons. Besides these, the output of grey fabric is 10 million meters. The products are labeled with Honghua, Wuhua or Fengdeng brands. Our factory could produce several kinds of cotton yarn from 6s up to 150s, and can also produce plains, twill, jacquard, corduroy and colored fabric in different weft density, whose reed width is 75 inch. In 2001, textile production passed the quality attestation of ISO9001: 2000. In 2003, the company was elected to be excellent attesting enterprise of this quality attestation system by Yunnan Branch of CQC. And in the year of 2003, our company lies in 89th of a hundred export strongest textile enterprises in China. At this year, the cotton yarn of Wuhua brand was elected to be one of the first batch of famous trademarks in Yunnan Province. In 2006, our company was to be director enterprise of China Textile Association. At the same time, it also became vice-director of Yunnan International Trade Association.
 
    Besides the major business of textile, the company has opened Yunfang Commercial Center. The market covers light utilities, woodwork, cupboard, home decoration, ironware, paint, dope, costume, knitting goods, bedding, general merchandise, cosmetics, stationery, craftworks, toys and so on. It has 25 special marketing areas, delivering goods centers and supermarkets. The market covers an area of 250,000 square meters, which includes more than 200,000 square meters of managing area and about 5,000 shops. The commercial center has perfect service instruments, including two parking lots, Yunfang Commercial Building, Huacheng Hotel, commodity exhibition, delivering goods center, fire protection, financing, credit and so on. It covers about half area of Luosiwan Commercial Area, which is the largest commodity-distributing center. Chinese commodities are sent to Southeast Asia countries by this logistics transfer place. It is a trade exhibition area of China and countries from Association of Southeast Asia Nations.
